My trainer and I had the chance to go drifting at the OEAMTC driving safety center in St. Veit, close to my hometown Klagenfurt. Formula 1 instructor and drift trainer Norbert Filippits and OEAMTC Carinthia manager Robert Pichler showed us how to maneuver the car. It is a lot harder than it looks but in the end I was able to drift for one whole round. It was a lot of fun and you get a better feeling for the car. When my trainer and I got time between tournaments, we love to have training sessions. On the one hand we can help them with our experience and on the other we learn a lot from them too. In the last years we always had the honour to practice with the youth teams in Austria. On the weekend my trainer and I went to the Sportunion summer event where I had the honour to get the golden star from the Austrian Sportunion for my achievements in the past 2 years. This is the highest award that you can get from this federation. The summer event is a get together of athletes and sports functionaries once a year at the Carinthian sportunion headquarters. From July 6th-9th, 2011 the Euro Tour will take place in St. Johann im Pongau/Austria. The Euro Tour is the strongest Tour in Europe and I have also participated in a few events since it is an open tournament. Last year I had the best Austrian finish and so it is even harder for me to announce that I have to cancel the event due to health problems. Jasmin will be on the Austrian TV channel ATV on a show called ”ATV Life” where reporter Andreas Movarec tries out different sports. This time he was curious about billiards and so I gave him an insight into my sport. I simply showed him how you play, what the rules are and also tought him some exciting shots.
