From the 26th until the 29th of August the Women World Championship is taking place in Shenyang/China. 64 women from 22 countries are taking part at this prestigious event. I was seeded into the event as the Nr. 5 (world ranking) and had to play Hoe Shu Wah (SIN) in the first round. I won my match 7:5 but lost the second 6:7 against Chinese Chen Xue. On Thursday at 11:45 am  (Shenyang time) I had my  match in the losers round against Brittany Bryant (CAN). This was the qualifying match for the final round of the last 32. The match started good but soon I made a lot of mistakes and Bryant took the lead. I fought back until it was 6:6. Bryant had the break and ran out to kick me out of the tournament.

“I am unbelieveably disappointed about this result. I put a lot of work into the preparation for this event and finishing like that was so not the way it was supposed to go. Well the event is over for me, so  now I am focusing on the next events I will have in Manila (PHI) next week.”
